My chargers about due its service and the other day its boost pressure has dropped from a peak of 0.9 to 0.2 . I can hear no boost leaks and after having a peak under the bonnet oil residue can be seen on the boost pipe connections. Ive always had an oil drip from the charger intercooler pipe but I think the seals have fully gone now. Funny thing is the charger still sounds fine but obviously theres a massive reduction in power . Are these the obvious signs of an apex seal failure?

Cheers guys

did you check v-belts tension? maybe your apex seals reach they'r limit and can't make any pressure. you can check on the bottom of interecooler by removing the boost pipe and check for debris.

check all your small vaccum pipes, round fuel pressure regulator etc.. these can come off.

also sometime (couple of weeks from now) i'll be spending a sunday doinga charger rebuild if you want to come round and have a look, yr not far away

Checked all the vac pipes pete they are all hooked up sweet, I also doubt that a clogged up gauze on the intercooler can cause this much of a power reduction, the charger now makes very little noise. Gimmie a txt Pete when you do the charger rebuild depending on how you feel i'm tempted at whipping mine off and doing mine at the same time. Obviously paying for the full set of service parts .
