Post Nuclear EMP driving
« on: October 20, 2011, 09:00:48 pm »
I am interested in designing (for fun in head for now, but never know one day) a replacement for the ECU and everything to give the car post Nuclear EMP blast drivability.... Is there a points version of the dizzy available that fits in the same hole?? Dyou recon I could fire the injectors by having the injectors wired from some dizzy points too, but through some form of variable resistor and capacitor network (nothing active silicon) so that the fueling level was alterable while driving, because it'd be easy to rig an AVO up to the catalyst line, aiming to be kept at 2v... Its not gonna win races but might get me out of the fallout zone one day!!!

I had a (mega) Mini I kept for years with that in mind! 1.75"SU's and wopping great points, nuclear proof! (and 0-60 in 2 gears in 7 seconds), but was nicked, cool, ta eh...
