Oil breather pod removal
« on: August 11, 2011, 10:03:49 am »
How do you remove it, is it just a case of getting a flat blade screwdriver tapped under lhe lip and then prying it away from the block?

Any help would be great as im going to tackle it this weekend.

Yeah there very tight. I ended up doing the screwdriver trick, just dont hit it too hard in unless your replacing it. The other way you might be able to do is gently hit it with a rubber mallet.

remember to use some sealant as you put a new one on or put the original one back one, to make sure it doesn't ooze!

Make sure it's oil resistant sealant else it won't work out too well!

Ill try and take pics as i go and make a walk through for others to use in the future.

Maybe we could get the forum updated with a how to section, and get all the different walk through's and how to's all put in one place.
