Polycarbonate windows
« on: August 02, 2011, 10:11:37 pm »
I've found a company and on there website they have a 'window kit'
Including rear bonded windows..

I'm looking for opinions on the choice of thickness... 3mm,4,5 or more..
Has anyone else ran plastic windows that know some info?

They also offer a more oem look with black Borders and sliding window kits and many more..
Quick shocked no one else runs this.

mine are 3mm but MSA regs say 4mm.  But if you're not racing then it doesn't matter.  I just bought a load of polycarbonate sheet from ebay

I used a jigsaw, it's like cutting through butter with a hot knife.  Im sure a hammer came into the proceedings at some point too, I can't really remember it was years ago and I've drank too much stella since then.

Maybe we should all have a 'Stella-off' at the next G40 meet. also, its a shame they don't do the front quarters bonded too, wonder if they can custom make them.

mine doesnt have quarter glass any more, just a full sheet of plastic but you wont really be able to make them openable like that.  I just have a slider.
