which bottom end?

hi there!

i have a friend here in Portugal that's thinking about getting a big bore bottom end. he's thinking about going 1.5 or 1.6 litre engine.

do you guys know what's the best bottom end to suit? is there any golf bottom end for the overhaul?

will the atv gearbox be ok for the stronger engine?

there a guy arround that has a 1.6 litre turbo with 300bhp but he doesn't tell anyone which block he's using..
