Thought I'd put this in a separate topic for all to see..

This is from the Mk1 golf owners club and looks a dam site easier to get hold of all the parts required than finding a 1985 audi!!

I had the 256 conversion on my G40 and all I can say is the difference between that and the 239 is like night and day..

do they fit into stock wheels ?

So you need carriers, calipers, pads, discs from a 1985 (5 cylinder Audi)
From a 80 or 100?

hayesey

no the point is you use Vauxhall parts which are a lot more common and cheaper than the audi parts.

Opel? What Opel uses the 256 setup that fit into G40? Vectra A?

hayesey

yeah Opels. Read the mk1golf thread in the link in the first post for what cars to get the parts off.

Ok... It's easier to find parts from these cars... So, Opels with 16v are having 256 setup , and the FIT to the G because this post is for a Mk1 Golf
