Hi all as most of you might no I have a G running 22psi via an eaton charger, and I'm going to forge and bore out to 77mm keeping the standard 8.0.1 compression with Wössner pistons

I don't fancy melting them av iv heard with me running that much boost I could.

Have I been misinformed?? Or I's that possibility??

Andy

Good luck melting a forged piston. You'll more than likely bugger the cylinder head long before your fresh forged pistons melt! ;) On stock cast pistons with a random chip and incorrect setup, it's much more likely though!

22psi on forged pistons is well proven. If correctly mapped and properly setup the engine should have no longevity issues.

oh yay Andy:-D i wonder what bhp my new engine will be running at 22psi? got my forged pistons today.
whats the score with running a emerald ecu running this higher pressure- is it better or would a g40 ecu suffice (with uprated map sensor)?
