TB to T-piece Gasket - where to buy?
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:54:15 am »
Can anyone advise where to buy the gasket that goes between the TB and the T Piece on top of it.

I've sat and looked on the exploded diagrams in VW at the parts desk and cannot find it listed there... I'm sure it is but they couldn't sell me one as they could not find the part!

thanks,

Adam

Do you just use sealant instead of a gasket?

Nope there is a cut paper gasket, although you could use a good sealer instead if you wanted I suppose

make your own. go to an autofactors, ask for gasket paper. draw a template out and go round it with scissors. 1 square if gasket paper should make a fair few gaskets for both that joint and the "throttle to inlet" joint. costs about £1

thanks for that guys - i'd be much happier with vag gasket but think a cut out is going to be best... i've been able to get the TB to inlet but just no joy on the top one!
cheers,

030133074 VW part number for said gasket. Quite cheap if I remember - I use sealant on mine though.
