Powersprint manifold - G40
« on: February 15, 2011, 11:28:35 am »
A friend of mine has a powersprint manifold that he had bought for his polo 1
He has a clearance of things for money to his VW beetle prosjekt!
So he is going to sell this!
But will it fit my G40?
Some pictures of it

Nope- and I'd move thatlambda boss to the collector where all 4 runners gather.

reason for why it wont fit is that the runner nearest the charger - will foul the charger

aha! I see!
Heard from some friends that had supersprint on theri G40's. They had to modify the supercharger-bracket for it to fit!
But the manifold that Yoof sells, looks better for G40's... ;)

yes, the one Yoof sells is made especially for the G40 to ensure it fits.

They foul the charger- yours is supersprint Frode, this is 'Powersprint'.

Both are crap quality. Better off with stock than either of these.

Do you have rolling road numbers to back it up?

Powersprint and Supersprint are the same;)

I belive the pipes are bigger on the Powersprint ones. Supersprint comes with TÜV or ABE, Powersprint is more aimed at the racing crowd

Had my Supersprint since 2000 and have had no issues with it

No, but the welding is shocking- that's why it's been plated (hides a multitude of sins), lambda on just one runner shows massive lack of understanding, and the collector design is poor/ non existant.

Plus the final bore of the manifold looks about 1.75" or 2"- again, on something designed for performance, is no better than stock.

This isn't a plug for our products by the way- I'd run a stock G40 de-cat over these manifolds any day.

How many miles has your car done since 2000 Frode?
