Direction of the Club

Can i ask, have you guys got any plans for the future growth of the club and how to promote it?  I'm in this situation with the MK2 Golf Owners' Club, and finding it very difficult as we don't have a membership fee, so no incoming cash.

Shows are free to enter, but things like club flags cost 140 quid plus.  Tax disc holders as little as 40 odd pence, but orders have to be 250+.

I'd personally love it if we could have a club stand at at least 1 show this year.  I'd imagine we are limited to the fact that there are only something like 300 G40s out there, but there msut be GTs converted to G40s i guess.

Well, I don't think we have any intentions of taking over the world or getting as big as Club GTI or anything like that.  We are going to be selling items like stickers, tax disc holders etc... and yes we will just have to pay for them up front and then hope to sell enough to make some money to pay for things.  We will be having club stands at several shows this year, they don't generally cost the club anything.  If you have to pay to have a stand then the people who go on the stand pay for it, if the costs are too much then we wont do that show.  In the past we have been closely linked with Club Polo (a much bigger club as I'm sure you know) and have shared stands with them and things like that.

I think it would be a good idea to have a register section on the site.  Also perhaps a price guide.  Your doing a fantastic job, keep it up.
