Seen a few comments on CP about the micro-v belt setup. Not worth the money seemingly.

I run bartek toothies. Some say they are heavy but I think they are fit for purpose and strong. Also quite well machined, seem to be good quality. Also have guides on all pulleys. 2 of my friends also run these and are happy with them. Also belts are easy to get from bartek but I guess aren't cheap. But are supposed to be decent quality.

I'm reading that the steel pulleys are very heavy but wondered how they compare to the standard g40 bottom crank pulley?
has anyone had any experience with these pullies off Ebay?

very tempted by 65mm toothies... but slightly concerned by the negative feedback i've heard re: difficulty setting them up and stripping teeth etc... any advice (other than set them up properly!)

cheers,

I run the bar-tek toothies, very happy with them tbh. They seem to be lasting longer than the psd pulleys i bought previously, and the weight isnt that much of a difference than the standard pulleys.

I think all toothed belt setups will strip their teeth after a while, as they are under quite alot of strain.
I got 15k out of my last belt, which i think is quite good considering i was doing a belt every 2 weeks with my old setup!  :o :D

I made my own! they are industrial pulley's and it cost me £35ish to make them. I do have a machine shop that helped though. they strip belts form time to time but didnt put a second of time to work out if they are aligned or not. might start making them & selling them as a UK seller of tooth drive HTD pulleys!

That would be great; especially if you could offer a few charger pulley diameters.

Yeah we could do if we started offering them. would need a big enough demand though to be honest!
