I need a G40 ECU asap, as my map sensor is ka-put!

you can resolder the map sensors/replace them.

But there is one on ebay otherwise

is that the 50 quid or best offer one?

going from the vague description, it sounds like his ecu was duff and he replaced it, and the original ecu is up for sale for spares. if so its not worth 50 quid!

Can i use an uprated one with a new chip, if im running under 1.5 bar boost?

are you 100% sure it's the map sensor that is faulty?  If so I have a spare OEM 200kpa map sensor (that I removed from my ECU to fit a 250kpa one) and can fit it for you.  If you send me your ECU and £50 I'll desolder you old map sensor, fit my replacement one (which was working fine on the car) and post the ECU back to you.  Or if you have access to surface mount quality soldering kit and know how to use it then I can just sell you the map sensor itself for £25 posted and you can fit it yourself.
