Belt tension
« on: October 14, 2010, 12:24:59 pm »
What is a normal tension for a the charger belt?

I have herd that if you can just about turn the belt 90 degress then that is a correct tension. I think people use that for timing belts, wether its the same for the charger belt?

are you talking standard twin v-belts or a toothed belt conversion?

If he latter then yeah I've always done it like a cambelt where the longest free section can be turned 90deg with two fingers.

If v-belts then as tight as you can possibly get them really!
