Can happen on the higher powered ones when being used in anger hayesey snapped one recently but his car is around 200bhp with a 4 paddle clutch and he was launching it very hard on a drags strip. If it keeps happening maybe it's not been fitted correctly. Where is it snapping ?

haha, launching it hard was a kind of way of putting it :) being stupid is more like it!

I don't think it's a common thing though.

What CV joints are you buying?

Sounds a little weird. Have you got any further details please of your symptoms - when it drives, when it doesn't, if there's any warning before the problem etc.
Have you taken it to the same garage that changed the CV joint?

What they change?  the whole driveshaft or CV joint?  2nd hand Driveshaft?  Can you identify if its inner or outer causing it?  I'd go with Inner.  Jack up both fronts, put on axle stands and spin you wheels underneath it, putting an applied force against joint to see if it breaks away.

Should just be a new shaft required if it wasn't new to start with or strip it and do it again.
