having re-wrapped my loom in amalgamating tape some years ago I'd say use the cloth OEM type stuff as the amalgamating tape rots when it gets oil or fuel on it.

Be careful if you do use the plastic conduit - most of it will ignite very quickly if it gets too hot. Seen a prototype vehicle go up in flames like that, which wasn't amusing. Also need to pay close attention to harness clipping if you're adding the plastic - tends to stress the cables in a different way to the cloth loom tape.

My loom tape turned up this morning and it looks more like the soft part of Velcro on top tatherthan the cloth type and the seller won't give me a refund they swear it's loom tape and nt Velcro! It's called chlorplast or somthing like ghat only bough it cause on eBay there was som vw loom tape and that had chlorplast on the inside of the roll so I though this was genuine stuff. Any how is this scarpa stuff just like cloth is it water proof aswell ?? Or is it like the soft part of Velcro aswell? As I dnt wanna end up buying more rolls of tape that ain't the same ad the original tape used
