boost gauge

dont know if this is the right section but could someone post me a picture of which line the tubing goes into! car is pretty much standard!

don't have a picture but it's normally the one between the fuel pressure regulator (flying saucer thing on the end of the fuel rail) and the one way valve on the brake servo hose.

boost gauge is fitted! minus the light being wired up (need some more cable)

having fitted my boost gauge it has killed the forced air from the charger! so its just like driving a gt at the moment!

this is the gauge i have -


i fitted it here -



is this in the right place or should i of put it the other end of the line i connected it too?

please help as it has really pissed me off!!

i have now just removed the boost gauge from the car and the charger is still dead please help???

Looks like you have a boost leak maybe?

could it have any thing to do with the amount of oil thats in the car? as i just took it for a spin and the oil light flashed and beeped! i checked my oil and i said it was pretty much dry?

I would seriously check your oil and top up if necessary. Dodgy oil pump?

well i have topped up my oil! before i did this though the tappits were really loud and now i have topped it up its stopped!

its not the oil pump, i have an oil leak from the rocker cover gasket which i have just replaced. today i put some gasket sealent on left it for 4 hours as it said to do and it still leaks! kept her running on the drive and looked at the seal and i can see were its coming from, its behind the cam pulley right in the corner of the arch of the cam cap. could my head need skimming?? im thinking i may even buy a new rocker cover n try that!

Did you torque tighten the cam cover when you fitted the new gasket or just horse it up as hard as you could?

dint torque tighten no! was i supposed to?
