front shock hub

hi is it possible to seperate the front shocks from the hubs or do i have to replace the hole unit?

the shock is an insert inside the strut/hub assembly.  You can't separate the strut from the hub carrier but the shock itself just slides out.

ok i see i dunno weather to change my shocks or buy cheap coilovers of german ebay. cheap uprated shock that i have found are £200 for all four corners or do i just buy the coilovers and sell my lowering springs  :-\ the coilovers are 500 euros

well, coilovers if you want the height adjustment.  Personally, I'd rather spend less money on a decent quality set of shocks & springs than buy some cheap coilovers, cheap ones will have poor quality shocks and often poorly matched springs.

Take a look at PPS website. They do coilovers on an exchange basis at £300 a set and offer a variety of spring rates.

loks like a good idea but what do i do about the rear can you get coilovers for the rear seperatly?

Yeah rear coilovers are available seperately, contact Phil J on here. He can supply most suspension related parts.

PPS are also going to be selling polo specific rear coilovers too, so worth getting intoucj if you really want coilovers...

yeah they do with the addition of a spacer on the bottom.
