Breaking in a charger?
« on: May 04, 2010, 04:13:56 pm »
Just got a full blend charger off Gary on the forum. Its got all new bearings/seals etc.

Was wondering if anyone can advise me how to break/run it in?

Also, do I need to get a chip to run it or does the car adjust the fueling?

Cheers, Adrian

Depends if what mods you have, like 65mm pulley, injectors etc.

If you have no mods but just the full blend charger then i dont think you would need a chip.

I beleive you should run it in by driving it for 300 miles off boost then do another 300 miles using a little boost but not flat out, then it should be beaded in. Not 100% sure but im sure someone will correct me.

Cars standard atm, looking to break in the full blend before fitting a 65mm toothed kit etc.

Thanks James, thats sounds handy enough lol.

Anyone else know about if the car matches the fueling?
