Oil Cooler, Filter!

Hi,

I have an Oil Cooler fitted to my G40, and soon to do a service when i had a thought. Because of the sandwich plate do i need to get a smaller Oil filter? I have seen somewhere advertising that they sell a smaller one if you do, but is this necessary to get a smaller one?

I always just used the standard filter with the large nut fitting on the end, and always had enough room to fit and remove.

yeah standard filter will fit
