How fast is your G

Have many took there G40s on the drag strip?
If so what times you getting and what mods you done?

1. Yoof, 13.1secs @ 108mph
Slicks, nitrous and lots of boost help

2. wozzaG40, 15.080 @
Full blend, chip and toothed pullys

3. Weeman, 15.181secs @ 90mph
R1 charger, chip and 65mm pulley, Jetex filter

4. Raw, 15.7secs @ 88.7mph
Standard G40

5. My G40, 15.8secs @ 86mph
Stage 4 Jabba, chip and pully

I got a 15.7 @ 88.7 at Shakespear raceway with my standard G40...

Well, not compleatly standard, I took the driver side head lamp out and ran 19psi in the front tyres!

15.181 @ 90 something, will have to find my slips.

R1 charger, chip and 65mm pulley, Jetex filter. Running standard tyre pressure on 14" wheels

Track conditions and practice make a big difference. I started the day doing 16.1's and did about 6 runs to get my best time, most were in the 15.8's though.

Looks like yours is the quickest here

I saw a mk2 golf at bugjam do a 10 sec quarter mile
had a 1.8 turbo in it
fastest FWD car i've seen

on topic... is anyone goin to ten of the best this sunday at elvington? tht mk2 will b there i rekon but i dont think it'll still be fastest FWD in the country this year. loads more competition.

i think yours is the fastest mk3 polo front wheel drive mate.

once seen a diesel lupo run a 10 second quarter with lots of black smoke out the back.
