well you cant go wrong with Eibach springs which lower a normal polo by 35mm so lower a g40 by about 20-25mm

I have Eibach, ride is good, no firmer than standard G40 springs n my opinion. But not softer either so same ride just a little lower.

dont forget a g40 is slightly lower as standard than normal polos so the 35mm eibach springs will lower it more like 25mm

Oh that's nice... About 2,5cm and the same stifness as stock suspension...
What about H&R? I think supecharged spaniel has a spring kit?

P.S: I forgot to mention that i have Bistein yellow (sprint-B8) shock absorbers

I found the stock spring with Bilstiens very firm, when I fitted my Eibachs, I went back to normal G40 shock, which admittly softend the impact shock resistance a little, but it rides fine.  When the time comes, I think I'll be reverting back to Bilstiens as the current shocks are startingg to get a bit to bouncy for me.

Yeah, that's what i'm talking about..It is already stif with Bilsein, if i put stiffer springs ride is not gonna be comfortable at all...
So Bilstein+Eibach=too stiff...
Any other ideas?
Supercharged spaniel, tell us about H&R....

H&R Cup kit..lowers a non-G40 Mk3 60mm front 40mm rear...ride quality is excellent...firm but not too firm.  Best kit I've felt on a Mk3 Polo, I've got it and love it to bits.

Id agree with Tav the H n R kit is really good, definately stiffens up the ride but isn't that stiff that you put your back out, i think it combines really well with 14's running 195 45's, no srubbing what so ever an the clearance is only an issue on those bloody black an yellow speed bumps, but that is mainly my full psd system as it hangs down low where it kinks to clear the rear axle.

I think that you would find it hard to source the H&R kit seperately, if you only wanted the springs, this may have changed since i last read a post on CP from PhilJ who sells the H&R kit.

As for the ride im unsure of anyone who runs that set up. but there could be someone out there.

I'd just buy the Cup kit...the springs and dampers as matched...

Wozza speaks truth when he says no scrubbing...I've had 5 people in the car and it was fine.  Those black and yellow speed bumps though...my exhaust hangs quite low and I get a lot of look leaving uni as it scrapes along the ground...only place it happens though.

Ok... I forget about stiffness. Is there another springs kit that only lowers the ride height, but keep stifness the same?
