Yeah mate i have just had this problem. I checked all lines and brakes etc, same as you then it lead to my o/s rear wheel cyclinder. It was pretty much pissing out fluid and i was topping up fluid every few weeks. Will prob be them. Not expensive to replace.

have had all drums off n cylinders ar fine, have checked all brake lines n also fine,

but rae u say if it is the servo that leaks it ends up getting burnt ye, because my plugs ar black and i only put them in bout month ago, is it possible that the fluid goes down vacume from the servo then and eventualy in to engin

thanx for all help

Use this,

http://www.vagcat.com/

It is very handy. I have been using this for about a year now. When i went on and looked they were the same.

http://www.vagcat.com/epc/cat/vw/PO/1993/120/54/1254553/

Here is a direct link. It depends as there are two types,

tandem master cylinder / for models with no brake servo

And

tandem master cylinder / for models with brake servo

Have a look and see what you think.

All RHD mk3 Polo's have the same servo.
You need to order a tandem master for use with a servo. Shimples! ;D
