supercharging a gt
« on: January 08, 2010, 04:11:51 pm »
hi im new to the forum i joined as im interested in supercharging my mk3 polo that i have recently converted to a gt. im an apprentice engineer with access to machining and fabrication equiptment and a friend of mine has recently superchargd his vr6 mk3 with an m90.

my main concern in the converion is the compression ratio has anybody got any idea of how much preassure i can run on the standard 10:1 or weather i can use a spacer plate to lower the compression.

also is it possable to use my standard ecu remapped with bigger injectors, the main issue i see being with this is weather i can convert to a newer air mass as the gt one is shonky and would max out. could possibly run without an air mass to?

thanks for any advice given

prob save a lot of hassle to just find a good PY g40 engine and drop it straight in.  I'm sure the Gt can be charged but for the hassle the g40 engine swap is the way forward!!!!!!!!!!!!  ;)
