Think its about time for a G

Hey everyone. I have joined up becasue im think about getting a G40. I know a couple of people with them and i love them. I have got a little in the bank but i also have a MK4 golf sitting at home doing nothing. Any advice? And where are most of you from??
Will post pic of my golf if anyone asks.

Welcome -plenty of advice about buying/owning a g40 and quite a nice helpful community here... even if i do say so myself.

Quite a few of us ooop north - but generally all over the uk.

Hi Andy, got some 'hello's' myself when I joined the other day, so I'm passing on the glad tidings!
I've owned my G for 9 years, but not driven it for nearly 6, so when it gets back on the road it'll be like having it for the first time all over again! This forum is certainly a good way to build enthusiasm, I've spent a lot of time in the last few days just browsing the site and there certainly is a wealth of information from clearly knowledgable chaps. It makes me realise how little I know!

Thanks for the welcome. Didn't think i would get any replies as I'm not a G40 owner. I'm from Essex, Colchester if you know essex. I have had a look I don't think anyone wants to px. I want to keep the golf in my family, so might be selling to the misses. I hope to have g40 by early-middle of next year. I go to college with the person that brought the ford blue g40 off the forum. He loves it and that where my love has come from. Let me no If anyone is interest in a 1.6 16v golf then I can get pics and all info up.

Another lad from essex. Im only down road in Althorne, near maldon if you know that area?

Will be good if you get one, maybe sumtime next year if you got one get all the G owners around to go southend on a cruise night, if they still do them?

Lol havent been down there in a while. Not usually in essex as im in Royal navy and based in somerset.

Might be coming up near colchester soon, one lad on here wants a standard air box or swap his jabba induction kit for one. Will let you know if i do.

Whey, im from colchester too! live on wickham road next to the tire / exhaust garage! know the place? is that ford blue G in colchester too now?
