Windscreen Wiper problem
« on: November 08, 2009, 10:04:52 am »
Hi,

Got in the g40 yesterday, flicked the wipers on and they just stopped halfway up the windsceen and wouldnt work on any speeds. I kept driving, and about a mile down the road they came back on. But when i turn them off, and then on again, i seem to have the same problem. The back wiper has always seemed to do what it wants but this obviously hasnt been so much of a problem!

Has anyone had a similar problem or any ideas what the most likely thing is thats causing this?

Not sure about this now. Had another look at today, and they just seems to be struggling so much they just stop. When i turn on the wipers, they stop, so i tried pushing it with my hand, and then they start. Just sound like they are strugging so much they give up!
Any ideas?
Jake.

polo's have problems with the switch itself in the arm and the relay due to water running down the wire and into the relay.
