the polo engines
« on: November 19, 2009, 07:59:13 am »
Hello
I,m Richard :P and i drive a polo 86c 2F with a AJV engine with G60 charger on it!
My mate has a polo 6n2 with a 1.6i16v Turbo(garret gt25 ???)
If bin driving my car a year with the 1.6i16vG40 and it was lot,s of fun :D 172bhp and 231nm of torq!..
My mate has drivin the polo with 187bhp and 240nm of torq..
His engine was broking on the freeway wen the crank pully came off :'(
My engine was fine but i wanne other stuf do to it, bigger charger and better flow stuf like that..
Soo i started with buying all the stuf from ebay end soo! i have search evrything myself for al the 2 engines, that safes allot of money!!
2 satz off steal rods.. 2 sets off wiseco pistons..

my engine has no piston cooling nozzles, soo i bought them and chech my mates engine and built the same in my ajv engine :D

to fit the steal rods 136mm it was a bit of work but they fitt fine now..
1 engine is allready done to fit in the polo6n2
my engine is next week done...

a couple of pictures from the engine built of the 2 motors..

136mm rods..

wen i have the other pictures uploaded i update the topic :)
this engine in the pictures is going too run on KMS management..

I remember you from a few years back when you were building it.  Great news that it running, and rebuild going good.   8)

Did you have any problems getting the forged 1600 pistons for the block?  I know someone with a lupo GTi 1600 16v with an eaton conversion who had awful problems getting the right pistons.  Had to be modified in the end.

jess that,s me!! im building now a year ore 5 on this polo!!
mostly because i will get my stuf myself otherwise it,s to expensive!!
the guy from the 6n2 has pay some learnmoney as they say overhere!! 5500euro for a turbo kit on his pologti 16v... and wen the stuf is broken the company is not home..
THAT,s why i wanne do it my way ore the highway...

wel the piston ware ok but the pistonpen was 1,5mm to long!! ???
wiseco 77mm bore are fine... no problems with them..
the most problems are fitting the rods!!!
first time we build i had orderd the 14mm rods from scat!! that was not ok.. the stroke of the engine is 86,9.. soo the rods 144mm ware to long :'( stupid my! order them to fast..
so i seld the 144mm rods en bought from  eaby the 136mm from g60 corrado..
but, the pistonpen was 22mm en the pistons ware 20mm.. so that,s made with how you guy,s coll it? (busses ore something like that :D)

but because i yust the 136mm rods the compression was to low!!! but that,s fixed now..
8,1:1 kompression ratio...

the engines are build with my friends company in holland.. so that,s ok now.. before it was very fucked(sorry for my words)

wen you have questions you can ask me anything..
if bin builing so long now that i now a stuff ore 60.. hehehe

greetings Richard

wiseco piston 77mm bore. 8,5;! ratio but we made a compression of 8,1;! bit more pressure can go into the engine :)(the pinstons ware made for the 8,5 ratio..)
the rods are H-profile 136mm long with 22mm pistonpen..

the differents too the Arc/AVY  and AJV clinderhead :)
AJV has a ratio of 10,5:1 originail
ARC/AVY have a ratio of 11,5:1

AJV

ARC/avy

with the headgasket you will see the differents  ;)

pistons ajv and arc are also different.

i got my other rods today so the building can begin..

no not jet  :(  am for myself started a joint, seam, company{i dont know how you cal it overhere} and that,s taking all of my time! but i love the work what i do  :)
www.richarddenkersvoegwerken.nl   ;)
Also the engine needs a stand alone system from KMS to run properly/accurate..
and i have bought a G60 charger but that was miss sale  >:(
will be fine but it takes longer than expected, selling is not an option  ;D
