Power output to car
« on: November 29, 2009, 01:23:54 pm »
When im driving and have the head unit on with a cd playing for example, if i take my foot of and de acelerate or change gear the head unit goes off. When im in traffic it also does the same thing but as soon as im driving its fine.

What would cause this?

Possibly new alternator or new battery?

I think i might have found the problem. After the thermostat housing change i did yesterday, i replaced the dizzy cap and rotary arm as the were fubar'ed. When i got in my car and started my headlights were alot brighter than usual.

Was thinking possibly a bad con in the dizzy cap possibly not allowing full spark, then leading to too much power being put into the lead and getting wasted? Or is that just crazy talk? Lol.

Mileage might be better as well now.
