Hey guys, long time no see!
One thing to say really.......I wanna G40 again and I need to find a way to get one even if I need to build one again. After 4 years away from the little rockets I have a need to drive one again and I think I might even sell the bike to get one back :-)

Hope everyone is well, I see the power bar has raised loads and it's great to see yoof running some mental times on the track!

Yoof

Good to see you back!

Alsho...

What happened to the RWD Mk3 VR Turbo you and the mrs were building?

hayesey

how do Paul.  Good to see you back.  Still got the g40 bug eh?

paulg40

Yeah still got the bug!

The VR was going well untill we bought a house! this put stop to all things :( but I bought another VR shell and stuck the engine in that but when I took it for the MOT they stuck a  ruddy screwdriver through the rear chassis member and failed it and cos of the new MOT system it was a write off! so lost heart and sold all the bits and bought a MK6 Golf GT TDI which is cool but we are racking the miles on (done 4500 miles in two months) so I kinda want a second car hence the G40 idea. this would sooth my pain of not having a project and I'd have a run around/track car ;D well thats the plan! need to find the finance though but I managed this in the past so I am sure I can again..... ha ha

The saloon is still in my parents garage as I have never had the time to sort it out would be mint to sub frame the front end and get that on the track .......ha ha ha don't worry I won't be doing that too much work!

Hi ya

welcome back...... long time no see

hayesey

bloody hell it'd be good to see your old saloon back on the go!  Stick an engine into that.

Andy

How do! Get your saloon fixed up Paul!

paulg40

it would require a full new front sub frame to be grafted into the chassis! not sure my expertise goes this far :'(

hayesey

space frame it!  Mark's not far up the road presuming you still live near newcastle ;)

g40chris

would be nice to see the loon back on the road, always liked that car

camone

aye aye paul, good to see you posting again matey

Nick_S

Hello Paul :)

Can't believe that saloon shell is still in your parents garage! Must be at least 3 years since me and Chris Pinches were up there helping you get the engine out and other bits off.

I might have a freshly converted capri green mk3 saloon for sale in the new year ;)

Fred

You Can`t do that Nick! I can`t afford it.  :(
