less boost

hi guyz i have one questian ive just fitted a set of 65mm toothed pulleys. i then took the car out for a test but now i have found out that i am getting less boost than i was with the old 65mm normal pully
i just wanted to know is this normal or bad is it my chrager ? because when takeing the old pully of the chrager it had some play in it. in and outwards play when the pulley bolt was out.?
its not a massive amount off boost lost i used to get a heathy 1 bar some time top end 1.1bar with normal pulleys but am now getting 0.8bar flat out
even will the boost loss the car funny enough feels faster

from what i gather the psd 65mm toothie kit is approx 65mm.. maybe ever so slightly  bigger.

Many vee belt pulleys are  often actually slightly smaller when you measure them

Also the in and out play can mean a worn bearing or shaft or oil slinger ring on your charger

are you sure the boost gauge is reading right, no air leaks in the line to it?

yeh i did have a problem with my bottom boost pipe it kept popping off were i dident fit it properly but after that i sorted that problem. otherwise i cant think of messing around with any other boost system. oh well i guess it is on a tiny bit less not major and as pete said the seal can be worn with that play i have. so i think i should get a rebuild it hasent been done for 2 years.

not especially as i broke my arm two days before it so that pretty much ruined it.  cant even have a drink yet due to being on painkillers!  Still, i'll just save my birthdat celebrations till my arm is better!
