but you arent making sense, its all down to your own personal assumption, GT's are fetching the prices they ask, as people want them, and are willing to pay that price.

G40s arent fetching the price you think they are worth, i would never price this at £3k, but again its down to personal views

if this is worth £3k what would you price spaniels at?

and people arent giving G40s away, they are selling them, for the price people are willing to pay!

gts are worth more as people (relatively) as finding a good one is as hard as finding a good g, young uns can insure and maintain them so demand is higher. Hence why they are nearing g40 prices.  You can run a gt engine as cheap as a 1litre.  The same isn't true for g40s however much you want that to be the case jake.

G40s are worth £1,000 for a shed
£1500 for an OK one
£2k for respectable one
£2.5k for a lowish mileage VGC one
£3-3.5 for low miles factory fresh.

Anyway.. can we stop messing this guys thread up.

You are not ruining my threads any of you, I am located in a village called Bishops Itchington postcode CV47 2TF, I work in a VW dealership this is one of the cleanest G40'2 I have seen in a long while,
ECU remap in 1995
wolfrace 14" wheels fitted instead of bbs alloys (5)
Sony remote stereo
no other by racer mods
Rebulit supercharger ( parts purchased from Jabba)
originally supplied by Listers VW in Worcester
6 previous owners (not a silly amount) + current
VW service stamps in svc book + VW specialists
Mot till May 2010
new clutch will be fitted this weekend
I think it has grooved discs on the front (cant Remember)
small scab by o/s lower corner of windscreen
small pin dents on o/s/r 1/4 panel
as per previous post car will be valeted tomorrow (Wednesday) apologies already posted for the leaves
It looks stunning when clean
as you can see by the photo's it has not been messed around with other than those mentioned...
