slim line fan

orite guys, where can i get a slim line fan that is compatable with the current G40 wiring and so on.

You'll have to cut the old fan connector off and join the wires to the wires from the new fan.

thought that mate, but whats the story with the 3 wires, i imagine one is positve + feed, are the other two just a negitive and earth or are they to do with the two speeds, possibly set by a different value resistor for each (lower value faster speed) or am i talking rubbish lol.

one earth and two lives, one live for each fan speed.  I think people generally just hook up the low speed to the slim line fan since they are single speed.

just jam the wire in one then the other see which spins faster. i wired mine up to the faster one.

buy a haynes manual and read the wiring diagrams (or download a PDF copy of the manual from bit torrent/limewire etc... if you don't mind a hooky copy).

cheers mate already got a manual and actually just remembered about the drawings in the back as i was retaping my loom tonight.
