where can i get a g40 charger rebuild kit and how much are they?

you can get most of the bearings in uk cheaper to be honest

can also get rebuild kits from jabbasport http://www.jabbasport.com/product_detail.asp?CategoryID=31 however beavis says oe goeze seals are often old and beginning to perish  however lots of germans swear by them

is there anything out of the ordinary i need to know? the do's and dont's that is.
do they come with any instructions....
what is with using ptfe grease every one goes by?

er no - they dont come with instructions
G40 and G60 ones just have a different centre bearing. There is a bit of a guide in last 2 months golf plus. and  a thread on club polo.

Its easy once you've done one - but isnt it always the case!

I still service the occasional G60 and G40 unit for Johnny (ex PSD mechanic) who now owns and runs this company using the same components and the uprated seals developed for the g40 application.
