I was reading through a magazine while on holiday and come across a advert for self service garages around NW London. www.pitstartgarage.com

£20 a hour + vodka & tonic to use a lift seems a bit pricey though!

Suppose it's alright for an emergency bit of work. Fitting an exhaust and getting things right first time plus an oil change sort of effort. Depends what you can squeeze in and how well prepared you are. With yourself and one competant mate, you could probably get through quite a bit.

Yeah would be good for exhaust work, nightmare trying to do exhausts on the floor.
