I love the north for it's scenery and generally for not being so busy. I really notice the increase in congestion and just the amount of people when I travel down south. South past Milton Keynes is busy as owt and despressing to me. I find northern people appear more willing to talk wheras southern, particularly Londoneners are stuck up especially the birds! Birds from down south who come up to Uni who sport frizzed up blonde hair and jodpers and have a horses face love themselves and I love trying to talk to them cos they're proper slutty slags who've been let off daddies leash but they're a right challange lol. Birds up my way will tell you they're a slag and wear very little on a night out in the 'toon'. By the way for anyone who's never been out in Newcastle, it's gotta be one of the best places to go out. I live on Sunderland about 10-15 miles from Newcastle and although Sunderland is good Newcastle is much better. I think our country as a whole is a beautiful country with lots of culture and you'll always be biased towards where you live I suppose.

Well put Spaniel.

I agree with the whole 'elbow room' argument up north. The roads round Northumberland/Borders are as good as I've driven in the UK and the sensation of space is great - especially for a country boy like me! I have to drive for a good hour or so west nowadays (down south) before I can really cut the G loose and if it's sunny then every other f*cker's off to the beach and you may as well forget it unless you fancy getting clutch leg paralysis in a traffic jam!

I used to promote my own night at Foundation in toon when I was there, so despite haviong gone downhill a bit since then (lol) if there's a better town in the UK for the screaming lash then I'm yet to find it. I still go back a couple of times a year just for a night out!

nothing wrong with us southerners, yes our roads are busy, yes the birds seem more stuck up in some areas. its just you northern monkeys that have the issues.

southern birds arent that bad!
i live in brighton and go clubbing in london a fair bit, you just need to choose the right words
and give em a bit of charm, i allways seem to end up with posh birds, they seem all prim and proper
and then when u take them home its like unleashing a caged animal in the bedroom!

I was always under the impression that it was never the case of north or south but a case of London being the centre of the universe and the rest just revolving around it.  ;D

Anyways, the truth of the matter is anything bellow the scottish border is south
