gearbox oil

hi iv jus took my gear box off to do clutch (witch is nearly at the rivets guess i shunt ov taken it up york drag strip on bank holiday monday lol) and hav drained the gearbox oil out what oil do you recommend and and i rite in thinking that i need 3.1 ltr's

The propper stuff is only £4.56 a litre from VW (part no G060726A2), and yes the 5 speed takes 3.1 ltr's.

I got some Fuchs stuff from GSF, I think it was about £16.
