What about using acid wheel cleaner on powdercoated wheels? How will it affect the coat, if at all...?

depends on the coat, and the cleaner...  its not really recommended.  When i got some powder coated, they said use soap and water, anything else voids their 12 month waranty

Most wheel refurbing places still laquer powdercoated wheels (unless you have a satin or matt finish). I would still avoid acidic wheel cleaners.
