Dashboard lights dim

More gauge fun :)

My gauges are wired to take an illumination feed from the fag lighter- as my old Tim boost gauge was.

I'm pretty sure they're relayed internally - the illumination can be switched on and off independently of the feed, it just acts as a switch.

However, despite my old gauge dimming automatically with the rest of the dash illumination, the new ones don't do this. And they should be able to, according to the instructions.

And the rest of the dashboard seems very dim now, which is an arse. Possibly by comparison to the gauges mind, they're pretty bright.

Any ideas?

Hmm, just been out in the dead of night, and it looks like all's well. The gauges are dimming and the rest of the dash illumination is as bright as it's ever been.

But the gauges are really bright at full brightness and only slightly darker when they're fully dipped.

So problem solved, now I need to find out how to make the gauges a little less dazzling!
