Current Polo G40 pricing?
« on: August 08, 2024, 05:25:55 pm »
Hi guys,

I’m back here after a 10 year hiatus. I’m thinking of parting ways with my old G40 that’s been in dry storage for 12 years now. It was on over 200k miles and needed some internals done (big end bearings most likely) but she drove well up until I stored it. It’s modified with the usual parts and I have a few boxes of spare / standard items as well.

Anyone got an idea of what I should be listing this for?

hard to say, it mostly depends what the bodywork is like and how rusty it is underneath. Also what the charger is like and how much work it would need to recommission it.

Really that could need recommissioning or it could be a full on project, hard to say without more info.

I'd probably say somewhere between £2k and £4k as it is from the sounds of it. But also the market is not good at the moment so what it'll actually sell for is anyone's guess. If you'd sold it 18 months ago you'd have got more for it. If you're not in a rush, might be better off holding on to it. Or doing the work needed yourself and then sell it as a running, MOTd car.

is this separate from the rolling shell you have listed?
