Hey all, I bought a G40 back in july this year, it had been off the road for over 5 years and wouldn't rev up, only idle.

Since then I've got it revving up nice, there was a fault with the alternator. I've got an mot on it and been on a few short trips with it.

I'd like to do some more maintenance work on it. T belt, water pump, service and service the charger. The clutch needs doing, so if anyone can recommend a decent upgrade or a better clutch that fits from something else.

I really want to keep this as a road going project and not get too carried away with it. I'd rather use it and enjoy it first and foremost.

I'll post some pics here as I go along.

Nice one. If you've not done it yet though I strongly advise changing the timing belt on the charger along with the other maintenance if you don't do the charger rebuild straight away.

Good advice thanks, hopefully I'll get around to doing the t belt this week  :D

If anyone has any advice about posting pics on here, would be much appreciated. I've got a lot of pics of my old G40 from about 10 years ago I'd like to share.

you're using google photos already so it's not too hard. When you've got one of those links you posted above open in a web browser, right click the photo and select "copy image address" (that's from Chrome if you're using some other browser the wording might be slightly different). Then when making a post on here, click the "Insert an Image" icon which looks like a screen with a green circle at the bottom right. Then you can just paste in the copied address to the image and it'll appear in your post. You can put in a height & width if you want it to appear smaller.
