Trigger wheels
« on: January 10, 2019, 09:27:53 pm »
Been talking to my ECU supplier and he mentioned needing a trigger wheel. From memory and pictures I don't think there much room timing end to fit one, and if im thinking correctly i'd need to space out all the other pulleys, and likely affect the balancing done to all my rotating parts, is this correct?

I met a guy (maybe on the forum) with a turbo G40 running an Emerald ECU I think, and he had a handy solution. Said he used a Lupo crankseal (flywheel end) that has an integrated trigger wheel and drilled a hole in the gearbox for the sensor wire to come through.

I know a few of you are thinking of going stand alone so thought i'd float this to see what people think.

I saw one on insta yesterday where he had modified his 6PK pulley to take the toothed wheel for the trigger
