Engine and gearbox mounts

Can anyone tell me where I can get new mounts from? I've got three new rubbers, chopped the old ones out yesterday but gave up trying to fit them after an hour fucking about.

Does anywhere sell them pre pressed into the metal? Thanks

I used a suspension turret washer from the front of a polo to press the bushes in. A bit of tube the other side and plenty of GT85.

The last mount I bought from vw came complete with plate and sleeve.

I bought two golf g60 transmission mounts, they fit for the two g40 engine mounts, just got the g40 transmission mount to fit now, I'll have another go forcing the rubber in.

Hello mate seen this thread on engine and gearbox mounts don't suppose you know which ones I need or have any part numbers

ereeiz:
I will try and find out exactly which ones I bought. eBay wipes previous transactions over a month old now so I've no idea currently. I think they were £16 each, just typed "Golf G60 transmission mount" and bought whatever came up.

Pretty much everything is a quality made part nowadays so I wouldn't worry about brand name, etc. Manufacturing processes make it quite hard to get things wrong on volume parts!

If you want to look up yourself, go on google and search "etka online" you'll get a bunch of sites that host ETKA (VW's official parts system). Navigate your way to the right area (self explanatory, VW - Golf - engine mounting parts, or something similar) then look for the mount, click on it and it should jump to the part number on the list on the right, make sure the engine code matches (1H or PG engine codes) then copy the part number and paste it into google then click on shopping tab, or eBay, or wherever you like.

I can't look stuff up like this at work or I'd do it for you. They're normally hosted on sites that are blocked by my works web filter.
