MOT Fail help needed - clocks n fuel holder
« on: July 24, 2017, 11:07:16 am »
Hi all,

My G40 has failed it's MOT, I need a bit of help sourcing some parts

1) Need some working clocks - as the 'tell tale' light for beam doesn't work (fail) & fuel gauge. Garage say best thing is to get 2nd hand clocks and swap circuit board...or led, but bit unsure.

2) Need the metal holder for the rear fuel pump/filter as mine is currently held on by a zip tie. Anyone no the part no?

Every other fail I understand/can get parts for - cv boots etc

Any help much appreciated
Joe

Failed for a cable tie? As long as it's secure and not dangerous it should be fine. Plenty of things are held on cars with cable ties. I can understand if it's waggling about like a cock in a shirt sleeve but I'm assuming it's not?

I thought a cable tie was standard  :P ;D

One of mine passed with the whole exhaust held up by electrical wire...and it's a thorough garage.
