« on: January 15, 2018, 08:54:33 am »
Morning everyone.

Im in the middle of doing a rear disc conversion on the G and wondered what handbrake cables I need? I've got the aluminium spacer for the cables on mine but there too short..?
Do i need polo 6n2 gti ones or not? Cheers

I used mk2 Golf ones for mine, need to cut them down though. Still on there over 10 years later!

I've never seen any of those spacers before, what do they look like?

Morning.

There round aluminium adapters that slip over the cable to make drum brake cables work with disc brakes.

Is there a list anywhere of everything needed for a rear disc conversion?

I use standard Polo handbrake cables on mine with aluminium adapters. The reason they are coming up short is because you need to flip the plates holding the cables to the rear axle 180°
