« on: July 08, 2016, 06:09:35 am »
Morning all has anyone fitted a universal central locking kit to their cars.the reason I ask someone has very badly fitted one to mine and it all needs ripping out and starting again.now I've had a look on eBay and on the Internet on google and all I keep getting told is sorry sir this kit will not fit your vehicle.but that can't be true because someone has fitted central locking to my car and you can wire anything you want up Worthing reason surly.aslong as it has a live feed and it's grounded your good to go.so if anyone has fitted kits can you point me in the right direction of where to get a kit from please.thanks as always Matt

like you say, anything that is a stand-alone central locking kit will work.  It should have a little control box, solenoids for the doors and it's own remote control.  You just wont be able to use ones that are add-ons for alarms (unless you already have an alarm and there is a central locking kit available for it).
