On and it runs mint so it's definitely that

Have you open the ecu up? May be worth checking if the chip has become dislodged inside

I have an ECU for sale, but I have to send it from the Netherlands, and it has a chip inside from JD Engineering. Please let me know through PM if your interested.

Have you tried plugging the car into a diagnostics machine to see if the ECU has codes on it?

Not tried plugging it in as thought it would be easier to replace as fault is found

Would just like to say thanks for your help I got a ecu from Lynx company in Nottingham, check my mums old unit against theres and fault was in simple terms signal all over the place
