The oil light and buzzer keep coming on in my g40 if I give it a blip they go off for 30 secs then come back on, I've got enough oil and my pressures and temps are okay, is this just a fault in my clocks or is there something I'm missing? All sensors are in and wired up correctly any advice is appreciated
Thanks
Chris

Ps. I have tried a spare set of clocks and it doesn't do it with them, but they're out a gt whereas the ones that do it are g40 clock, not sure if there's any difference between the two?

what year is your G40?
Do you have 1 oil sensor or 2?

Chrisg40

It's a gt with a g40 in it so don't really know what year it is but I'm fairly sure it's got 2 sensors

the 86c polo came in 2 versions - early and late. the late only had 1 wire for a dual switch - the early had 2 wires for 2 sensors - they dont cross over very well.
have you checked the switches are in the correct places? swap them to see.

i would also verify the pressure using a gauge

Okay cheers, will have a look and see. Have checked them and Oil pressures are fine

ine is a high pressure sensor and one is a low, if they are the wrong way around it will cause issues.

Okay, any ideas on wire colours?
Drove 2hours to weston today and no buzzer so no idea ???
