Gasket paper

Looking to make one of the bottom end crank gaskets, what size paper is best?

I'll ask at work tomorrow dude, we always have to make stupid gaskets as most are obsolete from old British manufacturers, when putting it on use a thin smear of bearing grease too, works a treat and seals it well
Old school techniques rock!!

I have a roll of Gasket paper. Its quite thick but compresses down to normal when bolted down.
Gaskets such as say the oil pump cover, or say the throttle body to manifold are quite compressed from the start as I recall.
This gasket paper is 0.7mm on the roll.
It has never failed on me yet.
Sadly though it must have got damp at some stage though it brushes off easily.
