Disconnected the blue temp sender, revs dropped - not good?

Its at 596ohms now - put it between 550 and 650 roughly. What is this going to do for my emissions? I'm really not clued up on the electrical side of any car so bear with me lol......If my co pot was set at 1114ohms and was mapped at that - with me adjusting it to 596ohms mess anything up?
