Oil flow diagram
« on: May 26, 2014, 06:07:50 pm »
I was putting in a new helical into my head the other day and the tang snapped off before I wanted it to. Was going to break and pull it with some sniped nose pliers. I can't see it in the hole and I'm guessing it's gone into the oil way. It's quite small and was wondering could it be a problem by blocking any oil ways? I was wondering also if there was any diagrams at all so I could see if it was a main line or just for the pressure sensor. The  sump is coming off this week and does anyone know if it is possible to get into the oil line at all?

Sorted this out now.

Luckily it hadnt gone into the oil galleries and was sitting just behind the helicoil, but covered in oil so couldn't see it till i knocked it with some wire. Made a hook and fished it out. Luck on my side!
