Boost gauge recommendations
« on: March 01, 2014, 05:46:39 pm »
Can anyone recommend any analogue mechanical boost gauges that read up to 1 bar/14 psi? Preferably looking for a simple design with a black background and white text etc.

Thanks :)

Stack. But be prepared to stick a resistor/potentiometer in the backlight feed, far too bright at night otherwise.

What he said ^^

I haven't dimmed mine yet, but it's far too bright at night.

Otherwise they're brilliant.

Just wire it into the light switch. You dont really need the light during the day, that way it can be dimmed at night. And its really easy to do.

Done that. It doesn't dim enough even with the rest of the clocks barely visible.

Support guys at Stack said the same thing haha!

Oh right, my one dims quite well. 3 out of the 4 of mine are them pro stepper ones, jesus they are bright. I have had to wire in a separate loom to a switch to turn them off at night. Couldn't see out the window.

Yeah mine are all pro stepper jobs, they're fantastic gauges but so bright!
